Hi I am working at a near minimum wage job. I put in many hours a day and then I get paid a low (but I'm not complaining) wage for doing whatever my job is. It's a fun job and I get to meet many people and interact with my co-workers and if I had a choice to do that for the rest of my life for an awesome wage then I might do it however I would prefer to be a musician then anything else. In an equal money system you will be paid a living wage irregardless of what job you decide to do as long as you pick a job and do that job. It will be similar in communism except in one aspect which is where communism failed heavily.
It will be run by the people for the people! Communism is always run by a leader who ironically is interested only in having a lot of money for himself. So ironically communism is about spreading the wealth as long as the fat cat on top has as much of his fill as he can possibly get. No, the Equal Money System means that EVERYONE is equal. Basically everyone is getting paid to live their life and only that.
I am one vote for equality.

Hi All,
Sorry for the slump in blogging as of late. This his happened because as school has ended officially for me I've been given a plethora of responsibilities yet I haven't attended to any of them. I've begun to realize that I don't have to do anything at all because I'm being supported financially. Although I know that I have a short time before I'm kicked out of the house.
In fact I'm quite paralyzed in life because I know I must do these things but I've been so used to having them done for me or having someone tell me to do it OR ELSE. Basically I've been moving on the principle of "if I don't lose something I wont do it".
I will now do what I must do and deal particularly with my fear of what other people think.

Sponsored for the Desteni I Process

Review of The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
I've been reading the book "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair.
Basically the book is how a man, Jurgis, experiences reality within the 1900's as a working man. In the beginning he comes to America believing that he can experience the American Dream and find peace prosperity and the pursuit of happiness. How sad it is when he and his family find out that America is nothing but deceit and everything that you could want in America whether good or criminal is based off of money. The book gets so gruesome as to his family dying because they don't have enough money. His wife dies from a pregnancy not properly treated by a doctor. His son works in a beer factory and falls asleep in the factory and gets locked up and eaten alive by rats. Jurgis' son falls into a faulty street that was way too deep and drowned in the water that was trapped down there.
All of these things show how money is the solution to solving everybody's dire problems. I always say that there shouldn't be not one person who suffers and if you're willing to let just one person suffer while everyone else prospers then let that person who is tormented with no money be you! I know that you will change your mind into supporting the equal money system with no qualms.
I want to say that life is better now in America, but then I happen to forget every other person in other countries who suffer the way Jurgis does if not worse. Why should I live a perfect life while people suffer in a way that I would dread experiencing. If I want to keep this capitalism system then I should let somebody else take my spot in America and I'll take their place in a poor part of Africa with no food and disease rampant and witnessing the misfortune of having no money.
Continuing on with Jurgis' story in the book "The Jungle".
Jurgis eventually meets up with a thief and becomes a thief himself. He learns the art of stealing and sort of tag teams with his new friend. Eventually after a while of pilfering he becomes a great thief and has enough money to protect himself even from jail time and he does this by bribing the police. Jurgis eventually tires of being a thief and wants a more stable job so he applies to be a fake contender in a political race. The other guy wins but then Jurgis desires to really become a politician but instead manages to get a extremely high paying job as manager of the meatpacking plant that he was first employed at. Now his job is simply to scream at employers and tell them what to do. He does this liberally and treats the employers the way his bosses treated him.
That one paragraph shows how money runs every single part of society including our almighty politicians. As long as they get paid somehow illegally or legally they are satisfied. This is the same thing with police back in the 1900's where they were bribed but now they aren't.
Why the Equal Money System? Read the book "The Jungle" and you will definitely be a little more persuaded towards and equal money system then before.

Joe's Equal Money System ideas part 2
I last left off talking about my ideas on how work would function in an Equal Money System. In this post I will give my suggestions for how relaxing and having fun should function in such a system. I've never really thought about this so please bear with me as I create a solution out of thin air by analyzing what we have created so far. Please refer to the Joe's Equal Money System ideas post before reading this blog post.
The subject is Entertainment. After you've worked hard supporting everyone else through the EMS what will you do once you get home from work or school? Well in our current system some people don't have enough money so that they can go out to restaurants or theme parks everyday so one would probably resort to doing things at home like watching TV or going on the internet. Of course the more adventurous people would go outside with friends and find something free to do.
In an EMS you would probably go swimming or ice skating or other leisurely activities where you could enjoy yourself. Because you'll be getting a large sum of money you'll find support doing things like horseback riding or sky-diving. You'll be able to experience these types of things in life because what is considered basic income will be raised to a higher standard.
I suppose the EMS would be some sort of Utopia without the dreaded glass dome.
Well continuing on with jobs I wanted to add that jobs will be based on your choice initially. This means that you will be able to choose what job you want to be in based on availability of that job. But if push comes to shove and if there are people needed to fill in other jobs that are necessary like farming or the dreaded sewage then people will first be offered to take the job and then people will be involuntarily staffed there based on the location of the person.
Leisure jobs could be things like painting, being a musician, being a lifeguard on the beach, or doing massages. So in a nutshell there's a fun job for everybody in an equal money system.

Joe's Equal Money System ideas
As I'm sitting here while my vacation slowly finishes I know that I will eventually have to go back to school so that I can learn how to get a job and give up my dollars for the capitalism in the form of taxes. So basically all my life I've been learning how to do tons of paperwork without question and always being afraid of authority in the form of my teacher or in the case of having a job my boss.
Now my idea of working in an equal money system is where everyone is supporting everybody else through their work. There will be jobs like farming, construction, and real science. Farming because we need to eat and we need to eat natural and healthy for once! Construction because houses need to be built more efficiently and for people to use for sleep and shelter and not only to show off how much money one has.
Of course there are tons more jobs that I could mention. Why not education? I believe that in an EMS that the subjects taught have to be specifically pertaining to the relevant experience of a person within an equal money system. One should learn the basics of how the world works, the basics of farming, the basics of construction, reading, writing, and necessary math. I say necessary because the math that is taught in my high school classes are not teaching me something that could be useful in everyday life. It would be great to learn geometry or any other abstract math, but if I should learn something about for example grids then it should be applied to something like planting or farming.
In a nutshell education should be geared towards making an effective human being with a strong potential for solving everything that may come within his or her path.
When I say real science I mean scientists who work truly for the betterment of humanity. No longer will scientists attempt to discover string theories and other dimensions but instead will find better ways to grow crops or eliminate/alleviate disease or any other thing that focuses on making life for human beings more efficient and satisfying.
